Mason of the Year 2010
Roy Otterholt P.M.

Only men that rise to a level of service that is consistently far and above the norm; whose dedication to the Lodge and the Craft exceed even the highest of expectations are honored by receiving the Mason of the Year Award for Aaron Lodge #49.

For 2010 that man is Aaron’s own outgoing Master Roy Otterholt P.M.. Brother Roy has led Aaron Lodge for the past 2 plus years. His guidance of Aaron through some of our toughest times has been an inspiration for all who follow in his wake. Congratulations Roy you truly deserve this and we thank you for all your tireless efforts in the service of Aaron Lodge #49.

The Aaron Lodge #49 Mason of the Year Award for 2009 was presented to Brother Rev. Gil Mowbray. Brother Gil joined Aaron Lodge in 2007 and his commitment lies deep in this Lodge. Brother Gil served as Chaplain in 2008 and 2009, and will also be serving as Chaplain in 2010.

Brother Gil is quite active in Aaron Lodge. As well as his Chaplain duties he serves as editor of the Trestle Board and is the web master for the Aaron Lodge web site. He is very active in Lodge fundraising from Masonic Yard Sales to Chairing the 1st Annual Tucson Masonic and Shriner's Open Golf Tournament.

Brother Gil is active in ancillary Masonic organizations to include Scottish and York Rites and the Shrine. He has a deep felt belief that for Freemasonry to continue to grow and succeed all of these organizations need to work together in concert and provide resources to support each other.

Brother Gil, congratulations on this award. Your dedication to the Fraternity, your Lodge and your Brothers is commendable and has set a high standard that as you would say is not a standard for others to reach but just establishes a baseline from which you will continue
your work.
